Integrated Transport & Logistics Authority (ITLA): New Apex Body for Multimodal Planning
Context: On 6 October 2026, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the setting up of the Integrated Transport & Logistics Authority (ITLA) as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). It is intended to strengthen research, integrated planning, technical appraisal, monitoring and impact assessment across India’s transport and logistics sectors.
