International Translation Day 2026 — Linguistic Diversity and the Right to Be Understood
Context: International Translation Day was observed worldwide on 30 September 2026 to recognise the contribution of translators, interpreters and terminologists in promoting communication, cultural understanding and international cooperation. The 2026 theme chosen by the International Federation of Translators (FIT) was “Linguistic Diversity and Language Rights”, with the subtitle “The Power of Being Understood.”
