1. वियतनाम में भारतीय पर्यटकों की नाव दुर्घटना : पर्यटन सुरक्षा पर गंभीर प्रश्न
वियतनाम के फु क्वोक द्वीप के निकट भारतीय पर्यटकों से भरी एक नाव पलटने से 15 भारतीयों की मृत्यु हो गई, जबकि 21 लोगों को सुरक्षित बचा लिया गया। प्रारंभिक जांच में ऊंची लहरें और यात्रियों द्वारा लाइफ जैकेट का उपयोग न करना दुर्घटना के प्रमुख कारण बताए गए हैं। अधिकांश पर्यटक तमिलनाडु, आंध्र प्रदेश और तेलंगाना से थे। इस घटना का तर्क यह है कि अंतरराष्ट्रीय पर्यटन में केवल आकर्षक गंतव्य ही नहीं, बल्कि सुरक्षा मानकों का कठोर पालन भी अनिवार्य होना चाहिए। संपादकीय दृष्टिकोण यह है कि पर्यटन कंपनियों, स्थानीय प्रशासन और यात्रियों—तीनों की साझा जिम्मेदारी है कि सुरक्षा नियमों की अनदेखी न हो। सार यह है कि पर्यटन विकास के साथ जीवन सुरक्षा सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता होनी चाहिए तथा विदेशी यात्राओं में सुरक्षा प्रोटोकॉल का पालन अनिवार्य बनाया जाना चाहिए।
