1. Cirrus Clouds

Cirrus clouds are thin, wispy clouds found at very high altitudes, usually above 6,000 meters. They are composed mainly of ice crystals because temperatures are extremely low at such heights. Cirrus clouds often appear white and feather-like in the sky. They generally indicate fair weather but can also signal that a change in weather is approaching. These clouds are carried by strong upper-level winds and help meteorologists understand atmospheric conditions. Cirrus clouds do not usually produce rainfall that reaches the ground. They are among the highest and most delicate cloud types found in the Earth's atmosphere.
